Bioperspectives 2007 in Cologne hosted the formation of the new umbrella organisation
"VBIO - Verband Biologie, Biowissenschaften und Biomedizin in Deutschland",
the German Life Sciences Association. Both major representatives of Bio and Life Sciences
in Germany - the "vbbm - Verbund biowissenschaftlicher und biomedizinischer
Gesellschaften" (vbbm) and the "Verband Deutscher Biologen und biowissenschaftlicher
Fachgesellschaften� (vdbiol) joined forces.
